Strawinski appropriates a photograph of the Comtesse de Castiglione, a femme fatale, known for her BEAUTY. Captivated by early photography she embarked on a series of self-portraits. These images pre-date our contemporary obsession with the narcissistic SELFIE. The Artist steps into being, through the image of the Comtesse, becoming her own muse.
